Recommended Content

Mediafly has optimized its search so that users can find the most relevant and important items when searching in the environment. The displayed search results are ordered through a scoring system designed to help users find content that is beneficial to them.

Search Ordering

Search results are arranged according to the following order:

  • Promoted content
  • Title match
  • Appears in description
  • Appears in other metadata
  • Appears in the document text

Recommended Content

When searching for an item, recommended content may be presented to the end user to further assist the user through relevant articles.

Recommended content is determined by the system by using the 'collaborative filtering' learning mechanism. This allows the system to build the user's similarity matrix within the assigned group of a user.

The system identifies the top contents that are relevant and are viewed within the group and from the pool of suggestions gathered, the system selects and displays any content that the user has not seen before.
